TAI CHI as a path to enhance your Health & Wellness
The ancient art of TAI CHI has evolved in China over a vast time period originating within the Internal systems of Chinese KungFu. The now well-known and extensively researched benefits of TAI CHI stem from the unique methods found within it’s practice.
Classically described as the Shen guides Yi that moves the Qi – Spirit guides Intention that moves the Qi or Life Force energy – TAI CHI’s inner mechanisms allow for magical effects on the Mind Body Spirit trinity that we are composed of.
In the initial stage of TAI CHI practice, Song – Relaxation or Loosening is worked on throughout the entire body. This is coupled with breathing methods (Lower DanTian breathing) and Qi – Energy cultivation with specific Energy generation postures.
These are then combined to cultivate ChanSiGong or “Silk Reeling skill” – expanding and contracting rotational movements governed by thought guiding internal energy and internal energy moving the body.
This particular method of animating and moving the body from a Yi Qi – Intention Energy initiation driving the body motion makes the actual experiencing of TAI CHI very unique.
Often people wonder if they have Qi or whether it is easy to perceive their Qi.
When one considers that everything is Energy from the particles that emerge from the Quantum field to the atoms that compose the cells in our bodies – all is Energy.
So really the skill is to perceive Qi – which is actually quite easy – just that it is not something that many have focused on before.
Once you directly experience your Qi or even the experience your Qi has on your body then TAI CHI practice can go a little deeper.
It is the same Qi flow Energy network that is worked on in Acupuncture.
As every aspect of the Body, Mind, Emotions & Spirit is Energy the powerful stimulation and harmonizing effects of TAI CHI balances a wide range of imbalances and conditions.
TAI CHI can also be used as a mechanism for Energy evolution and expansion.

Sometimes specific TAI CHI postures are used like “medicine” to move the Qi through a specific area such as the Kidneys and the Kidney acupuncture meridians or the Heart and it’s meridian.
Once the TAI CHI skill sets have been developed in the forms it is further expanded through TAI CHI Dao – Sabre; Jian – Sword; Gun – Staff and other weapons.
This allows the ChanSiGong – Silk Reeling skill to be extended beyond the hands into the weapons achieving a greater skill at Qi generation and direction.
